What is the Key Worker Model

A big part of what we do is what is call the Key Worker role with NDIS participants.
Funding for a Key Worker is part of the NDIS Early Childhood Intervention approach.

It is evidence based and research shows it is the best way to support children with a disability or developmental delay under the age of 9 years.

The role of a Key Worker includes:
Assessing your child’s needs and goals
Creating a personalised therapy plan
Supporting parental learning in the home
Bringing in other experts (like OTs, Physios, or Speech Pathologists) when needed
Coordinating with the team of therapists

If your child has funding for Early Childhood Intervention and you would like to find out more about a Key Worker, get in touch with us.

Support Coordination.

Support Coordination is about more than just connecting you with providers. It’s about helping you understand your NDIS plan, make informed choices, and coordinate the right supports so they work together effectively for you and your family.

As a Social Worker and Early Childhood Practitioner, my approach to Support Coordination is:

  • Family-centred and practical

  • Grounded in capacity building, not dependence

  • Focused on real-life outcomes, not just paperwork

I support participants and families to:

  • Understand their NDIS plan and budgets

  • Identify and engage appropriate providers

  • Coordinate allied health, education, and community supports

  • Navigate changes, reviews, and life transitions

  • Build confidence to manage supports independently over time

My goal is to work with you — building your skills and understanding — so you feel confident managing your plan and know when and how to seek guidance when needed.

With significant changes coming to the NDIS over the next few years, having informed, ethical Support Coordination now can make a meaningful difference.

If you’d like to know whether Support Coordination is right for you or your family, feel free to get in touch.
